Growing up in Newton, Mass. with her parents and two siblings, Linda Rottenberg felt constant stability at her core—which she intended to shake up. Upon receiving a B.A. Magna Cum Laude from Harvard and a J.D. from Yale Law School, Rottenberg left for Latin America, much to her family’s surprise. After involvement with several projects, she started working for an organization, Ashoka, which promoted support for social entrepreneurs. Rottenberg was shocked to learn that people she met either had to be hired through a government job or a conglomeration company monopoly. She insisted that global emerging markets could be the engines of a new economic transformation. Through perseverance, partnerships, and confidence, Rottenberg created Endeavor Global, Inc. For the past 17 years, Endeavor has been a world leader in providing high impact and large growth scale entrepreneurs with capital and an outlet to cultivate revolutionary ideas.
