After receiving a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the American University of Beirut, Fuad Sawaya came to the U.S. to attend the Columbia Graduate School of Business, earning an M.B.A in Finance and Accounting. Fuad's Wall Street career began in 1986 at PaineWebber in its Mergers & Acquisitions Group. It was there that he met his future partner, Hercules Segalas, who was the leading Consumer Products analyst on Wall Street. Fourteen years later, Fuad led the Consumer Products Investment Banking Group at the firm, participating in over 120 M&A and financing transactions before moving to JP Morgan to head their Middle Market Consumer Products Group in 2000. After a short stint at J.P. Morgan, Fuad began to realize his goal of starting a boutique M&A firm focused entirely on the Consumer industry, and founded Sawaya Segalas with Hercules in September 2001.
