Position Details

While the big deals often make the headlines, the middle market is where the vast majority of the action takes place. What is the middle market? It's where 90% of all M&A activity occurs worldwide.  Harris Williams & Co. is the leading sellside M&A advisor focused exclusively on the middle market. This year, our firm was selected as Middle Market Investment Bank of the Year by IDD Magazine. The award follows on the heels of recognition by Buyouts Magazine as Investment Bank of the Year in 2005.
Additionally, our firm has been named one of the Best Places to Work by the Boston Business Journal, our transactions have consistently won top honors, most recently for the sale of Cushcraft Corporation to Laird Technologies in 2007, and a number of our professionals have been ranked in 40 Under 40 lists by several publications for their industry leadership.  Harris Williams & Co. is a member of The PNC Financial Services Group (NYSE: PNC), one of the country's largest financial institutions.  In 2007, PNC was named one of Fortune Magazine's Most Admired Companies.

Analysts at Harris Williams & Co. make important contributions and are encouraged to handle meaningful responsibility on each of our transactions.  Unlike Analyst programs at most other investment banks, our Analysts get "up close and personal" with live transactions, actively participating in all facets of the deal process. At Harris Williams & Co., Analysts research the latest industry and corporate trends, develop valuation models and analyses, and gain exposure to the country's leading private equity groups and active corporate M&A participants.  Analysts participate in every phase of the deal process, assist our Associates in the writing and preparation of presentation materials, and attend client meetings.

Because of our highly regarded platform and the level of experience our Analysts receive, they are in high demand when they complete our two-year program.  Our most senior professionals work diligently with graduating Analysts to ensure that they find exactly the right position to continue their careers, whether in private equity, corporate development, graduate school, or something else entirely.  No matter where you decide to take your career, an Analyst position at Harris Williams & Co. provides tremendous preparation for your next step.
