Privacy Policy
OneWire Inc. (“OneWire”) knows that you care about how your personal information
is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Please read the following
to learn more about our privacy policy. By using the OneWire website located at
www.onewire.com (the “Site”), you are accepting
the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.
What Does This Privacy Policy Cover?
This Privacy Policy covers OneWire’s treatment of personal information that OneWire
gathers when you are on the Site and when you use OneWire’s services (the “Services”).
This policy also covers OneWire’s treatment of any personal information that OneWire’s
business partners share with OneWire.
This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that OneWire does not
own or control, or to individuals that OneWire does not employ or manage.
What Personal Information About Users Does OneWire Collect?
Our primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide you with a customized,
efficient and effective job-seeking experience. We collect the following types of
information from our users:
Information You Provide to Us
- We receive and store any information you enter on the Site or provide to us in any
other way. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you
may not be able to take advantage of many of our Site’s features. The personal information
you provide to us is used to match you with appropriate potential employers, as
well as to customize the advertising and content you see, and to communicate with you
about our products and services. In order for you to use our Site, you must register.
We require certain information including your real name, email address, street
address, city, state, country, and zip code. You may also provide information regarding
your work and life experiences and other demographic information. This information
is optional, but by including it you enable us to provide you with more personalized
services.
- We provide you with the ability to control which, if any, of your personal registration
information is shared with other OneWire users. You choose the information that
you make public in your OneWire user profile; you may keep all of your personal
information, including your real name, private. When choosing which of your personal
information to make public, keep in mind that your resume or other information you
provide to us may reveal your identity. It is your responsibility, not OneWire’s,
to ensure that you do not make public information which may identify you.
In the event OneWire determines that you meet the criteria
submitted by an employer seeking to fill a position, OneWire will notify that employer
and disclose to them the profile information, if any, that you have elected to make
public. If the employer indicates to OneWire that it is interested in contacting
you, OneWire will notify you via email and you may disclose your complete user
profile to such employer or recruiter. OneWire will never share your user profile
information with a potential employer or another OneWire user without your consent.
As mentioned above, this privacy policy does not apply to entities other than OneWire,
so once you disclose personal information to a potential employer, OneWire does
not control how that party uses and discloses your personal information.
Despite best efforts, OneWire cannot guaranty the privacy of personal information submitted by Users.
Also note that if you exchange messages with a potential employer to whom you were introduced
through OneWire, such employer may retain the message history after you terminate
communications and/or close your OneWire user profile to them.
Automatic Information
- We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us.
OneWire automatically receives and records certain "traffic data" on our
server logs from your browser including your IP address, OneWire cookie information,
and the page you requested. OneWire uses this traffic data to help diagnose problems
with its server, analyze trends and administer the Site.
-
Generally, our service automatically collects usage information, such as the numbers
and frequency of visitors to our Site and its components, similar to TV ratings
that indicate how many people watched a particular show. This data is only used
in the aggregate. This type of collective data enables us to figure out how often
users use parts of the Site, so we can make the Site appealing to as many users
as possible. In addition, we may provide statistical information, not information
about you personally, to our partners about how our users, collectively, use our
Site. We share this type of statistical data so that our partners also understand
how often people use our Site, so that they, too, may provide you with an optimal
web experience.
email Communications
OneWire will communicate with you through email and notices posted on the Site or
through any other means available through the Service, including text and other
forms of messaging. If we send any communications to you via the carrier service
with which you have a mobile communications subscription or otherwise have access,
you understand you will pay any service fees associated with any such access (including
text messaging charges to message your mobile device). You will receive emails
from OneWire related to the proper functioning of your account, such as email notices
when a potential employer expresses interest in reviewing your user profile.
We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from OneWire if your computer
supports this type of program, in order to help us make emails more interesting
and helpful. We also send out emails with news or promotions. If you do not want
to receive promotional emails from us, please contact us at support@onewire.com.
Information from Other Sources
For purposes such as improving personalization of our service, we may receive information
about you from other sources and add it to our account information. Like the information
you provide to us, we do not share this information with anyone except authorized
third parties in connection with providing you with our Service.

our users, or others. OneWire may disclose personal information to parties in compliance
with OneWire's Copyright Policy, as OneWire in its sole discretion believes necessary
