How OneWire Matches You to Relevant Jobs and Builds Your Network

  • 1. Create Your OneWire Profile.


    Use OneWire’s proprietary classification system to create a profile that outlines your work and personal experiences. The more detail you provide about your background, the more you will stand out and improve your chances of being matched to the right job.

  • 2. Establish Your Privacy and Status.


    a. Privacy Settings

    Your privacy and confidentiality are our top priorities.

    Private - Nobody can see your profile. Employers will only see you as an anonymous candidate with a percentage match score to their search. You must grant employers permission to view your profile details.

    Public - Everybody can see your profile. Employers have permission to view your profile details.

    Whichever setting you choose, you can actively block employers and prevent them from viewing your profile. If you block an employer, you never appear in their search results.



    b. Status Settings

    This indicates your employment status to employers and determines whether or not they can contact you.

    Actively Looking - You are actively looking for a position and employers may reach out to you.

    Open to Opportunities - You are currently employed but are open to learning about opportunities, either for yourself or to make referrals.

    Not Looking - You are not open to learning about any opportunities and employers may not reach out to you.

    Whichever setting you choose, it will not affect the confidentiality of your profile.

  • 3. Set Your Preferences.


    Define the parameters for the types of employers and opportunities you are willing to consider - and OneWire filters out the rest. Preferences can include employers, location, compensation range, and number of employees.

  • 4. Get Matched to Job Opportunities.


    Our patent-pending matching algorithm matches your profile to hiring managers' search criteria. If you are matched to an opportunity, you may take one of the following actions:

    Communicate - Send a message directly to the hiring manager

    Decline - Remove yourself from the search

    Refer a Friend - Provide the contact information of up to three relevant professionals

  • 5. Refer a Friend.


    Do you know any professional who would be a perfect match for the opportunity? Refer them! If they accept the referral and get hired, you may be eligible for a referral reward.

  • 6. Network with Alumni and Students


    Find and communicate with all those associated with your college or university – current students, alumni, and Career Services Officers – who can help you advance your career. When logged in, click on the Networking tab to start making new connections.

Remember – until you choose to reveal your profile, you remain an anonymous candidate within the OneWire system. Your privacy and confidentiality are our top priority.
