How OneWire Matches You to Relevant Financial Service Jobs and Builds Your Network

  • 1. Create Your Confidential Profile.


    Use OneWire’s proprietary classification system to create a profile outlining your work history and life experiences. The more detail you provide about your background the more you will stand out and improve your chances of being matched to the right finance job.

  • 2. Establish Your Privacy and Status.


    a. Privacy Settings

    These controls determine when and if anyone can see your OneWire profile. Remember – until you choose to reveal your profile, you remain an anonymous candidate within the OneWire system. Your privacy and confidentiality are our top priority.

    Private - Nobody can see your profile; firms will only see you as an anonymous candidate with a percent fit to their search and must use the OneWire system for permission to view your profile details.

    Public - Everybody can see your profile; firms have access to your profile details.

    With either setting, you can actively block firms, preventing them from ever seeing your profile. You will not appear in their search results.



    b. Status Settings

    This indicates your employment status to firms and controls whether or not they can contact you. Whichever setting you choose, it will not affect the confidentiality of your profile. Confidentiality is controlled with your Privacy Settings.

    Actively Looking - This lets firms know that you are actively looking for a position and allows them to reach out to you.

    Open to Opportunities - This means you are currently employed but are open to hearing about opportunities either for yourself or to make referrals.

    Not Looking - This means you are not open to hearing about any opportunities and firms will not be able to reach out to you.

  • 3. Set Your Preferences.


    Define the parameters for the types of finance firms and opportunities you are willing to consider - and OneWire will filter out the rest. Preferences can include firms, location, compensation range, number of employees, and assets under management.

  • 4. Get Matched to and Consider Job Opportunities.


    Hiring managers establish criteria for their ideal candidate and hit “Search.” Our patent-pending algorithms do the work of sifting through millions of data points and generate a ranked list of candidates who best match the firm’s desired criteria. If you are not interested in the opportunity, you can decline it and know that your profile remains confidential. The hiring manager will only see your numeric score and nothing else about you.

  • 5. Refer a Friend.


    Know somebody who would be a perfect match for the opportunity? Send them a referral. If they continue with the process and get hired, you may be eligible for a referral bonus!

  • 6. Network with Alumni and Students


    Find and communicate with all the people associated with your college or university – current students, alumni, and Career Services Officers – who can help you advance your career. Simply click on the Networking tab to start making new connections.

Remember – until you choose to reveal your profile, you remain an anonymous candidate within the OneWire system. Your privacy and confidentiality are our top priority.
